Whenever you schedule your next conference, choose to spend time connecting with specific individuals you encounter. You can do this by going to lunch or dinner in between breaks, as well as stopping for coffee to reflect. Remember that conferences are designed for you to connect, engage, and explore!
Who doesn’t like attending events in your local community?! Attending events in your community will expose you to professionals that are right under your nose. Don’t sleep on the potential that is right around the corner from you. Yes, it’s true that many people find it hard to connect with their peers within the walls of the office. Wait! Wait! Don’t tune me out! Trust me…professional trainings are another great place to connect with your peers. These environments allow you to develop a relationship with individuals you may or may not see on a regular basis. You can bounce ideas off of one another. As innovators, we are constantly on the move. Millennials definitely can’t deny the previous statement. Lol. It’s not a bad thing at all.
